Giving the Gift of Lifelong Careers to the Youth in Small Towns

A Florida doctor has made a lasting gift that opens up a world of opportunities for young people.  Students from small towns in the foothills of the Himalayas are isolated from high-earning careers due to the shortage of quality higher education institutions in their area.  Thanks to the generous donation from Dr. Mukesh Goel, IDRF has helped a well-established technology institute build a new campus in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.

Maharaja Agrasen University, headquartered in Delhi, has been preparing young engineers and entrepreneurs for the global market for over a decade.   The Himachal campus is now bringing the same opportunities to the less privileged population.  In its final stage, the campus will offer programs in technology, business management, education, law, and journalism.

What better way to contribute to social development than to equip young people with lifelong skills and add qualified manpower to India’s economy?
