Akhil Bharatiya Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram (Chattisgarh): Established in 1952, it is now serving the vanavasi (tribal) people through 13,000 multifarious projects (like health centre, dorm, school, library, folk art/agricultural development) in 42,000(out of 140,000) tribal villages. IDRF grants support rural medical clinics, schools/dorms, one-teacher schools, and agricultural development – especially in the northeastern region.

Arpana Trust (Haryana): Its innovative experiment proves that people from different walks in life can live together and contribute to society’s well-being. Its multi focus service activities include healthcare, women self-empowerment, and economic self-reliance. IDRF is focusing on its very effective family planning program and mobile medical clinics.

Aruna Chetana (Karnataka): It is providing excellent educational/rehabilitation facilities to 160 children, mostly from lower economic strata, with special needs/disabilities/challenges. IDRF has recently financed the badly needed school bus. Request for financing its proposed residential facilities for such children is pending.

Bharat Kalyan Pratishthan (Delhi): Creates dedicated workers and deploys them in needy and/or sensitive areas. Runs mobile medical clinics, orphanages and schools/dorms for tribal children in the northeastern and other regions. IDRF supports education/residence for displaced tribal children and dedicated social workers.

Bharatiya Cattle Resource Development Foundation (Delhi): Aided by IDRF, it has succesfully developed an eco-friendly, Bullock-Drawn Tractor “Kamdhenu”. Kamdhenu’s promotion through microcredit is leading towards women self-empowerment and prosperity for the poor/small farmers. The project is now ready for take off.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vaidyakiya Pratishthan (Maharashtra): Started by fresh medical graduates in 1989, its activities include providing excellent medical services at affordable cost to the general public. IDRF is supporting its multidimensional community and health complex at slum, and the proposed mobile health and community clinic, having a target to cover many pockets of slums in Aurangabad.

Economic Rural Development Society (West Bengal): ERDS focus on the mainstreaming of the marginalized population in rural areas and urban slums by providing healthcare, microfinance, education, skills training, etc. IDRF supports educational facilities for the deprived and/or vulnerable children.

Grameen Mahila Shikshan Sansthan Samiti (Rajasthan): It focuses on the self-empowerment of girls/women by providing them high school/college education togetherwith residential facilities. The response of rural population to its marching forward has been phenomenal. IDRF is supporting the construction of its science labs.

Lok Sevak Sangh (Delhi): Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s Last Will and Testament, it focuses on good governance, eradicating corruption, establishing homes and vocational training centers for destitute women/girls. IDRF supports its activities on corruption and governance, poverty alleviation and social justice efforts.

National Sanitation & Environmental Improvement Foundation (Gujarat): It has succeeded in eradication of filth & disease by implementing sustainable schemes of pay-and-use toilets and recycling human refuse into energy generating devices. IDRF supports the building of such facilities in public places (eg. tourist centers, schools).

Sewa Bharati (M.P.): Engaged in integrating the poor tribal people into the mainstream; focuses on schools, dorms, day care and vocational centres, and medical clinics. IDRF’s support includes the construction of dorms for girls, mobile medical clinic, boarding/lodging of boys at a dorm, and babies/children at an orphanage.

Shiksha Bharati (U.P.): Situated in Hapur, its educational institution for girls provides model infrastcuture for exemplary physical, mental and spiritual growth of girls – besides outstanding acadamic acheivements. IDRF’s sponsored dorm for tribal girls and rural teachers, and our continued support will facilitate the realization of its full potential to become an institution of national prominance.

Uttaranchal Daivi Apada Peedit Sahayata Samiti (Uttaranchal): Runs schools, dorms, medical clinics and vocational/rural industry centers. IDRF finances one-teacher schools, mobile medical clinics and dorms.

Vikas Bharati Bishunpur (Jharkhand): Engaged in village self-sufficiency and integrated development of tribal people through value-based education, vocational training, medical clinics, appropriate technology, agricultural development, and ecological awareness. IDRF is currently supporting women self-empowernment/horticulture and educational projects for deprived children.

Vivekananda Kendra (Tamil Nadu): Engaged in translating Swamiji’s message of service into action, it has been training dedicated and talented life-workers, and deploying them in tribal and rural areas. IDRF’s current support is focused on spreading Swamiji’s message globally through its proposed International Center.
