Please Donate to Rehabilitate Flood Victims in Chennai, Tamil Nadu in India

Life for people in Chennai metro area continues to be extremely challenging even though the rains have ceased. The havoc wrecked by heavy rains has claimed more than 300 lives in Tamil Nadu and displaced tens of thousands. Thanks to our magnanimous donors we have been able to lend a helping hand to our partner- NGOs in India. They are supplying essential items like food grains, bed sheets, clothes (sarees and lungis), plastic mats, etc. to the victims. But lot more is yet to be done and even the basic necessities are yet to be met adequately. Further, medical camps have to be conducted for treating the affected people, as a result of water borne diseases caused by the sewage water and filth left behind.

Tens and thousands of people need your immediate help in Chennai. Please donate generously to India Development and Relief Fund (IDRF), enabling it to facilitate relief/rehabilitation to the flood victims. IDRF is a 4 out of 4 star according to Charity Navigator- a premier rating agency for public charities in USA. Our overall score of 99.75% put us among the top ten charities in USA. IDRF has been actively involved in rehabilitating victims of natural disasters in India and Nepal over the past two decades.
