IDRF Policies

Donor Privacy Policy

India Development and Relief Fund (IDRF) honors the trust of our donors, who have provided us with personal information. Personal information includes, but is not limited to, the donor’s name, contact information, and donation history. IDRF has never and will never sell, trade or exchange a donor’s personal information with anyone else.  When a donor makes a designated gift, IDRF may share that donor’s information with the beneficiary NGO – unless the donor instructs us otherwise.  We also never share the personally identifiable information provided to us by our donors for fundraising or marketing material, unless they give us the permission to feature their names. The information a donor provides to IDRF is used to process donations, issue tax receipts and thank-you letters, and send email updates on IDRF’s activities. Donors may opt out of these email updates by clicking the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of each email or by contacting us directly.

Non-Discrimination Policy

India Development and Relief Fund (IDRF) does not promote or discriminate against any person, group, or organization regarding categories protected by applicable United States law, as well as other categories identified by IDRF in alignment with our own Human Resources policies.  These include, but are not limited to race/cast, color, religion, sex, gender expression, physical appearance, language, education background, ethnic/national origin, age, disability, and veteran status.

IDRF supports public benefit organizations in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka that are substantially in alignment with our non-discrimination policy.  Organizations that are found to discriminate in their provision of services and/or their hiring practices based on any of these or other criteria may be deemed ineligible for funding support and/or required to return any grant awards, and may be rendered ineligible for future support.
